You get a Coconut! You get a Coconut! everybody gets a Coconut!!! |
coconut treasury.Although imperfect, the forum currency system — of 'coconuts' — will be officially reintroduced as a government initiative. All current accounts will be wiped of their existing balances. These accounts were used as a test case initially and have remained dormant and allowed to accumulate credits. With a fresh slate, a government ledger will be drawn up by the Prime Minister’s Office in consultation with the three ministries. Each Minister will provide a list of employees (advisors, ambassadors, soldiers, etc) and a salary will be provided to each employee. These salaries will be calculated based on the number of days in any one given position and a lump sum will be deposited into the member’s account at the beginning of each calendar month.

State of the region.Much like the Assembly’s State of the Assembly reports, the Cabinet will work to provide the Assembly with a comprehensive accounting of its activities in the previous month and its immediate and long-term plans. These will coincide with the Assembly’s reporting and will hopefully occur within the first three days of every month.

Foreign updates. The Prime Minister’s Office will work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prepare a more general update on the region’s activity to distribute to both our representative office in the gameplay forum as well as to our various foreign consulates and embassies.

Transparency.
In a similar albeit more serious fashion, the Adm. Gen. does not enjoy having to wait for six months before doing something and so in proactive compliance with the Sunshine Act, shall release a detailed brief on what was discussed within the Cabinet in conjunction with the State of the Region report — although discussions involving more regionally sensitive matters will be withheld as has been provided by the Act. These briefs will complement the regularly scheduled release of Cabinet threads.
ACCOUNTABILITY.
For some unbeknownst reason, we have a rather poor track record when it comes to hosting Ask Me Anything sessions with government officials. Much like the rest of the agenda, this too shall be strictly regimented. It shall be the expectation of the collective Cabinet that each member make themselves available to partake in public discussions of their ministries (and themselves as individuals) at least once a month. There are four core members of Cabinet (including the Prime Minister), this should be more than achievable.
